May 2023 - Transportation and Graduation Planes, Trains and Automobiles We began our last month of the 2022/2023 school year learning all about transportation.  Lake Superior Zoo We continued our study of nature and transportation with another field trip - this time to the Lake Superior Zoo. We even got to take a yellow school bus to get there! The weather was gorgeous and we had fun exploring both inside and out. Soon the new red panda will be on exhibit. Spring Celebrations May 5th is a Japanese holiday called 'Children's Day' (こどもの日, Kodomo no hi) to celebrate the healthy growth and happiness of children. We celebrate that every day! April 2023 – Nature

April 2023 - Nature Here comes the sun! After a long winter everyone is thrilled to feel the sun on their cheeks and see the snow melting. Finally, its goodbye snow pants and hello rain boots! The month of April was dedicated to nature knowledge.   Birds, Bugs and Dinosaurs Our exploration brought us all the way back to the dinosaurs. We practiced looking for fossils, examined different insects up close, and we even had a 'campsite' surrounded by different animals from our area. Under The Sea There is so much to learn about the Earth's oceans and all of their inhabitants. March 2023 – Creative Me

March 2023 - Creative Me Making Art Throughout the month of March we learned about all the different ways we can express ourselves. The preschoolers experimented with multiple artistic mediums including 'action painting', still-life drawing, making paper, felting, and sculpting. Music, Stories, and Poetry There are so many ways to be creative! The music stage is always a favorite at CCP. We also read many silly stories with opportunities for rhyming practice and creative thinking, as well as social/emotional learning.  St. Patrick's Day The Leprechaun brought his usual bag of tricks this year and the kids found gold coins, green toilets and a pot of candy at the end of a scavenger hunt.
