Making Art
Throughout the month of March we learned about all the different ways we can express ourselves. The preschoolers experimented with multiple artistic mediums including ‘action painting’, still-life drawing, making paper, felting, and sculpting.
Music, Stories, and Poetry
There are so many ways to be creative! The music stage is always a favorite at CCP. We also read many silly stories with opportunities for rhyming practice and creative thinking, as well as social/emotional learning.
St. Patrick's Day
The Leprechaun brought his usual bag of tricks this year and the kids found gold coins, green toilets and a pot of candy at the end of a scavenger hunt. We also did some ‘magical’ science experiments like combining simple ingredients to create bouncy balls and making regular cake that magically turned rainbow. Even with all the brilliant traps the preschoolers built this year… somehow that silly Leprechaun still got away. Maybe we will succeed next year!
