Preschool

Our days at preschool are filled with exploration, creativity, social-emotional growth, and academic learning. Each month brings a new theme and new dramatic play opportunities. We keep a low student to teacher ratio and spend a lot of time outdoors on our playground, at Old Main Park, and the nearby Oregon Creek. Children must be at least 3 years old by September 1st and potty-trained.  

Ages: 3-5 years

Mon – Fri, W/W/F, or T/Th (7AM-1PM) or (7AM-5PM)  

Please note:  There are currently several Tuesday/Thursday slots remaining for the 2023-2024 school year.

Summer Camps

Each summer, our campers explore the many different parks, creeks, playgrounds, and forests in our area, sometimes all the way down to the lake! Children ages 3 to 9 years may sign up for camps on a week by week basis so kids can join us all summer or just a camp here and there! Choose between Mon – Thurs, Mon/Wed, or Tues/Thurs. Applications must be submitted by May 1st and spots are limited.

Cost: $50/day
Ages: 3-9 years

Mon – Thurs 8AM – 4PM (with one week off each month)

Preschool Teacher

     Lead preschool teachers are responsible for planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a safe learning environment. Teachers give children an opportunity to expand their intellectual, emotional, physical and psychological growth. They also establish effective relationships with students, their parents and other staff members to maintain a healthy environment for all.

Assistant Teacher

    Assistant teachers work alongside lead teachers to implement an appropriate instructional program in a safe learning environment that guides and encourages students. They give the children an opportunity to expand their intellectual, emotional, physical and psychological growth and establish effective relationships with students, their parents and other staff members to maintain a healthy environment for all.

 

Teacher's Aide

     The morning aide is responsible for opening the school, checking students in, and supervising children during free play time at the beginning of the day.  They may assist in preparing morning snack, and possibly even lead a group through the morning activity and/or group time.

     The lunch aide is responsible for setting up the lunch tables and nap cots for each group as well as supervising children and providing help during the lunch period and rest time. The lunchroom aide ensures the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs of the children as individuals and as a group.

The closing aide is responsible for closing the school and caring for preschoolers at the end of the day. They may assist in preparing afternoon snack, and possibly even lead a group through the afternoon activity and/or group time. The closing aide is responsible for caring for the students as they wait to be picked up by their families keeping a 10:1 student to teacher ratio at all times.

Volunteer

     Parents, guardians, friends, and family are wonderful additions to our classroom and are welcome at any time. We encourage you to visit and participate in your child’s learning. Whether you have all day or just 5 minutes at drop off, we would love to have you!
