Greetings Congdon Creek Families!
We hope everyone has been enjoying this cold start to spring, we know we sure have. As much as the preschoolers love the snow, we’re excited for the ground to become green again and watch the world around us bloom. Here we are having one last hurrah in the snow:
Here at preschool we like to celebrate the month of March with two of our favorite themes: Dr. Seuss and Creative Me. For our Dr. Seuss theme, the children had so much fun exploring many of his books and did many literacy based crafts and activities. Here we are having fun with “It’s a Great Day for Up”, “One Fish, Two Fish”, and “The Lorax”. For our Creative Me theme we learned about various iconic artists and looked at the many different ways we can be creative artistically and did lots of fun art project and crafts.
In the midst of all our Dr. Seuss and Creative me fun we had a pajama themed “Wacy Week” in which we incorporated a lot of fun and wacky-ness. We did Backwards Pajama Day, Character Pajama Day, Sports Pajama Day, and Wacky Hair Pajama Day. Check it out!
If you know CCP at all, you know we love to go big for St. Patrick’s Day, and the kids never mind! This year we had fun making leprechaun traps, dressing up in goofy St. Patty’s day garb, playing with leprechaun sand, and of course, attempting to catch that silly little leprechaun. The children came close to catching him but at the last second he got away….better luck next year!
That’s all for now. Check back soon for more fun updates and photos as we head into our Love our Earth & Nature Play themes!!
